Bergamot is a distant cousin to the Orange Tree and was discovered by Christopher Columbus in the Canary Islands. It’s name comes from the town Bergamo in Lombary region of Italy, where the first Bergamot essential oil was produced. All citrus oils may be phototoxic and cause a sunburn type effect when worn in the sun. You can get bergaptene-free Bergamot to limit possible sun reaction. 10ml
